What sets our reports apart from others? A little extra work goes a long way:

• Dots Per Inch - dpi
  Our files contain photos, sketches and maps which print out at 150 dpi (as opposed to 72 dpi).
  
  What's the difference?
  
  • 72 dpi (dots per inch) - screen quality (web graphics)
    this is the format all digital cameras save photos as
  • 150 dpi (dots per inch) - almost print quality
    twice the clarity - great for glossy prints
    
    
• File Compression
  Most digital cameras produce images too wide for 5" x 3" report placement and too large in file size (200-300 kilobytes) for acceptable electronic transfers. Photos in the report look nice, but make for huge file sizes.
  
  • Exact image dimensions
    Adobe Photoshop gives total control over dimensions and density
    
    • Instead of squeezing photos that are actually 14" x 10.5" into a 5" x 3" mold, we place images into your report that are formatted to exact specifications.
    • These image are also optimized for web transfer to substantially reduce the overall file size of your report

Leading applications such as A la Mode's Athena and Nova 5.5 have image manipulation tools for cropping and compression, but not the same dimension or dpi (dots per inch) control.

Plat Maps
We import plat maps into Photoshop to optimize for web transfers. This clean format also applies for neighborhood comparables and FEMA maps.
